Rwanda Hosts g7+ Secretariat Delegation from Timor-Leste for a Knowledge Exchange Visit
From 25 to 30 May 2026, Rwanda is hosting a delegation from the g7+ Secretariat of Timor-Leste for a week-long study visit focused on fostering knowledge exchange and enhancing collaboration in governance, peacebuilding, socio-economic development, and institutional strengthening.

The visit, coordinated by Rwanda Cooperation, brings together representatives from the g7+ Secretariat and various Rwandan institutions. Participants will engage in discussions and practical learning about Rwanda’s development journey and its strategies for building resilient institutions and inclusive governance frameworks.

During the visit, the delegation will interact with key public institutions and stakeholders to gain insights into Rwanda's initiatives in national unity and reconciliation, decentralization and good governance, economic transformation, investment promotion, digital advancement, public service delivery, and community-centered development programs.

The program also includes engagements with institutions including the Parliament of Rwanda, the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning (MINECOFIN), the Ministry of Local Government (MINALOC), the Ministry of National Unity and Civic Engagement, the City of Kigali, the Rwanda Development Board (RDB), the Office of the Ombudsman, the University of Rwanda, Rwanda National Police, and other strategic bodies.

This visit also allows the delegation to learn about Rwanda's successes in attracting investment, improving the business environment, enhancing public-private dialogue, advancing digital government services through platforms like Irembo, and implementing effective mechanisms for monitoring development outcomes.

Commenting on the significance of this visit, Rwanda Cooperation highlighted the essential role of international cooperation and peer learning in promoting sustainable development.

As Rwanda Cooperation continues to position Rwanda as a hub for knowledge sharing through South-South cooperation, this engagement reinforces Rwanda’s commitment to building strategic partnerships and sharing best practices that contribute to global sustainable development efforts.
