ABOUT RWANDA

Powered by a shared vision, Rwandans are building a prosperous future for the country. By placing their trust in cultural heritage and tradition and crafting new initiatives informed by history and values, the country has created a new kind of blueprint for development.

Rwanda has also fostered global partnerships and implemented a continuous learning approach, tailoring international good practices to the country’s own needs and context, borrowing and adapting initiatives to meet the challenges faced.

This progressive approach to policy creation has put Rwanda on a unique development pathway and its implementation has led to significant progress in areas such as government efficiency, economic and digital transformation and gender equality.

With ambitious targets still to reach, including the aim to become a middle-income country by 2035, Rwanda’s transformational journey continues. The people of Rwanda, through Rwanda Cooperation, are committed to sharing the insights that have driven the country’s progress to date. It is hoped is that the emphasis Rwanda has placed on innovative initiatives, anchored in its own history and cultural traditions, can act as inspiration for others, supporting the development of impactful home-grown ideas and concepts that drive prosperity and growth the world over.
